Week 12: Electrical, Mechanical & a Hiccup

Week 12: Electrical, Mechanical & a Hiccup

December is upon us which means we are nearly four months into this home building adventure. Progress continues and we are thrilled to see the beginnings of our future home. I was swamped with work this week, so Tyler handled the onsite visit on Monday. He met with the electrician to finalize light, outlet and switch locations and functionality. There is SO much planning that goes into these sort of decisions. We sat down on Sunday to map it all out, and it proved to be a blessing in disguise that I couldn't attend on Monday. Had we not taken the time to discuss our plans in advance, Monday would have been quite the headache. The electrician was able to get started right away along with the HVAC team. As you can see in the photos below, lots of rough-in took place and we are one step closer to home.

Week 12: Electrical, Mechanical & a Hiccup

In other news, we did have a slight snag in our progress this week. Our builder is in the process of finding a new framer in order to keep everything on schedule. It's a long story, but we're confident that we'll be back on track shortly - hopefully this week. Due to the slight delay, the roof installation had to get pushed but we're hopeful it will all start rolling again soon.

Week 12: Electrical, Mechanical & a Hiccup

Although I don't have a lot of monumental progress photos to share, Tyler and I were thrilled to show our future home to our family this weekend. My sisters were in town from California, so we took them over to check it all out. We're really looking forward to the day everyone can come relax in our home - hopefully it's a heck of a lot warmer than in these photos. :)
